i got some information related to Admission for VTU Degree programs ,
The Admission for VTU Degree programs has been started at Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) for year 2011-2012. The applications are invited for admission in BE, MBA and MCA programs.
Facilities and Activities at DBIT - The institution boasts of well-qualified faculty with rich academic and industrial experience, excellent infrastructure, imposing buildings, spacious class rooms, well-equipped library, and state-of-art labs. It has a cricket ground, basket ball courts, a cafeteria with a seating capacity of 1500, a coffee shop, a photocopying centre, an ATM, and a hostel that can accommodate 259 students. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with a LAN network and 24x7 high speed internet connectivity. The central library, christened Dr. Raja Ramana Centre for Knowledge and Research, has 25,000+ books, 300+ journals, and subscribes to various national and international journals and magazines. Added to this, is the glory of well-maintained landscapes and gardens resplendent with multi-coloured flowers of the season lending flavour to the quest for knowledge and skills. The essence of this effort is to ensure that students get the opportunity to exhibit their talent as also the opportunity to develop such talent, get exposed to the most recent technological developments and technological break-through in the industry on a continuous basis, and get to meet and interact with key people from the industry for exchange and sharing of information and knowledge. It also lays ground for some students to obtain internship and project work opportunities and, in some instances, placement opportunities as well.
Student Empowerment- Students at DBIT are constantly provided with training in soft skills and behavioural skills with a view to improve and reinforce their overall communication and presentation skills. They are intensely prepared to successfully take up aptitude and technical tests of corporates that visit the campus for placements. Students from various departments form their own clubs/technology groups/forums to explore and share knowledge about the latest technological trends of the world.
Corporate Academic Partnerships (CAP)- On the mid-term agenda of DBIT is the signing of several MOUs with the industry and reputed international universities. In this direction, it has signed MOUs with Infosys Technologies for the Campus Connect Program, with Keane for the Adept Program, with Wipro Technologies for the Mission 10x Program, and with HPES (HP Educational Services). These programs are designed to train both students and faculty in latest and hybrid technological areas of software and bridge the gap between academia and industry. Besides, it has also signed an MOA with the University of Sunderland for faculty and exchange programs.
